What We Do

IMPROVE RUNNING MECHANICS

At MUSCLENRG our focus is to improve running mechanics. Most non trained players present with "field" running technique with poor arm and leg action resulting in limited speed.  We  help your soccer, basketball or football team develop track speed on the field.
 

ACL INJURY PREVENTION

  

Non-contact ACL injury is 3 times higher in adolescent  females vs males. The reason behind such high discrepancy has been attributed to hormonal, structural, neuromuscular and mechanical differences. We cannot change or effect hormonal or structural changes however we can improve on neuromuscular and mechanical discrepancies with appropriate exercise.  In our video section you can see how some simple movement prep and functional training can help improved landing mechanics and reduce non-contact injury list. 

RESULTS BASED

 Pictures and numbers don't lie. Tenth of  a second in 10 yards can make all the difference in the world.  Scroll down to see what a difference proper instruction can make.

After 15 min of training 20 yard time improved from 3.94 sec to 3.5 sec. Note the improved arm action and running efficiency. That is the net gain of approximately 2 feet of distance gained per every second of running.

About

Shaun Torbati P.T. CSCS MSM

  

Shaun Torbati received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy and Psychology from California State University Long Beach in 1997 followed by a Masters Degree in Sports Medicine in 2007. He has completed continuing education courses with a focus on manual therapy for extremity and spinal pain symptoms and in 2003 Shaun received his certification as a strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).  He is also certified by the Titlist Performance Institute as a functional training specialist for golf. Although Shaun has practiced in multiple settings, treating clients with a variety of neurological dysfunctions, musculoskeletal pain symptoms and orthopedic surgeries, his true love has always been sports performance.  For us, nothing is more exciting than helping an athlete perform at his or her best.
